THIS BLOG is a manual on my Pinterestproject PoetryBirdsFly. In 2016 I started to use Pinterest to share my works, hobby’s and interests.
My Pinterest Account is called PoetryBirdsFly. It refers to my youth. Dad loved birds, and drawing. He passed it on to his children. In our parent’s bookcase we could pick our mum’s poetry books, which she bought before she got married.
PoetryBirdsFly has 30 boards. You can enter the boards by using the hashtags below. On Pinterest, I introduce the main boards with a summary in their headers. Many boards have sections. So, if you enter a board you will find sub-topics in the sections. If you need more information, send me a direct message. I often miss DM’s on Pinterest. Contact me here: cora.westerink@gmail.com.
1. Hope, Care and Democracy. This is one of my three most precious boards. It has a main entrance in ten sections, which you can visit in the hashtags below this image:
Board introduction. What does it mean to be (mentally) healthy & why care about it? Not caring about it means not remembering & noticing that nothing has changed, fundamentally. Moreover, children’s lives worsen, also because of www. So, this board contains info about mental health topics in the context of this global society. If you think copyright is broken in any of these pins, please get in touch & the post will be removed or reposted as required. Thanks for reading

Currently, scientists are studying the causes & damaging effects of actual, (rapid) global climate change.

20. Poetry This board has a main page and five sections.
Quote In Memory Of W.B. Yeats by W.H. Auden:”For poetry makes nothing happen: it survives/ In the valley of its making where executives/ Would never want to tamper, flows on south/ From ranches of isolation and the busy griefs/” This Poetry Plate pleads for (mental) health awareness. 28. My First and Best Teacher, Thich Nhat Hanh
Thich Nhat Hanh is a Vietnamese Buddhist monk, peace activist, & founder of the Plum Village Tradition. His works inspire to address inner attitudes, convictions, & to transform feelings of guilt/helplessness. He inspires to love & care for life, for each other, & to look after the vulnerable: children, elderly, forcibly displaced people, & those who are ill. Everybody should be free to believe or not. We’re all one People, one Race. That is Thich Nhat Hanh’s core message, I think. I Love it!
